Abstract
Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje dinamiku između temperature i skulptorskih materijala te njihov utjecaj na oblikovanje skulptura. Metodologija istraživanja uključuje eksperimentalno oblikovanje skulptura pod različitim temperaturnim uvjetima te interpretacije umjetnika koji aktivno koriste termičke tehnike u svome radu. Temperatura ima značajan utjecaj na oblik i izgled skulptura. Na primjer, visoke temperature mogu omekšati materijale i omogućiti oblikovanje složenih oblika, dok niske temperature čvrste materijale često dovode do pucanja ili lomova. Umjetnici koriste ove spoznaje kako bi stvorili jedinstvene umjetničke izraze. Ovaj rad također razmatra povijest i suvremenu primjenu termičkih tehnika u skulpturi te njihovu ulogu u suvremenom umjetničkom svijetu. Zaključuje se da razumijevanje termičkih svojstava materijala i njihova kreativna primjena predstavljaju važan aspekt skulptorskog procesa.
Abstract (english)
This thesis explores the dynamics between temperature and sculptural materials and their impact on sculpture shaping. The research methodology includes experimentally sculpting artworks under various temperature conditions and intrpreting artists actively employing thermal techniques in their work. Temperature significantly influences the form and appearance of sculptures. For instance, high temperature can soften materials, enabling the creation of complex shapes, while low temperatures often result in the brittleness and cracking of solid materials. Artists leverage these insights to craft unique artistic expressions. This work also considers the historical and contemporary application of thermal techniques in sculpture and their role in the modern art world. It concludes that understanding the thermal properties of materials and their creative application represents a crucial aspect of the sculptural process.
