| Sažetak | Foley zvučni efekti imaju veliku ulogu u medijima današnjice. Nekada su bili značajni kod radija kod kojeg je fokus bio na zvuku, a s nastankom i razvojem drugih oblika medija zvuk se uveo u film. U današnje vrijeme koriste se i u videoigrama i drugim sadržajima. Nastanak foleya dogodio se u Sjedinjenim Američkim Državama gdje je djelovao umjetnik Jack Foley prema kojem je ta umjetnost dobila ime. Foley umjetnost je u suvremenosti rasprostranjena u cijelom svijetu te svaka kultura i umjetnik ima svoj način rada. Foley uključuje snimanje zvuka odvojeno od kadra, što može uključivati dijalog, korake, bilo kakve druge pozadinske zvukove na sceni, ali i posebne efekte, izmišljene zvukove i slično. Foley umjetnici koriste se rekvizitima, svojim tijelom i svime što im padne na pamet, a najčešće rade u paru uz snimatelja. Taj posao je iznimno kreativan te umjetnici često vrlo blisko surađuju sa redateljem, producentom i montažerima. Bez foleya scene se ne bi doimale stvarnima, a doprinosi i atmosferi i emociji pojedinih scena. |
| Sažetak (engleski) | Foley sound effects play a big role in today's media. They were first important in radio which focuses on sound. Later on sound was introduced in films, and nowdays they are used in videogames and other forms of content. The most important foley artists come from the United States of America, where Jack Foley, after whom the art is named, also worked. Foley is practiced all over the world and every culture and artist has its own way of working. Foley involves recording sound separately from the frame, this can include dialogue, footsteps, any other background sounds in the scene, but also special effects or invented sounds. Foley artists use props, their body and everything they can think of, and most often work in pairs with a mixer. This work is extremely creative and artists often work very closely with the director, producer and editors.
