Abstract
Završni rad Supkulture i oblikovanje identiteta (sedamdesete i osamdesete godine 20. stoljeća) bavi se fenomenom supkultura u drugoj polovici 20. stoljeća te pojašnjavanjem procesa oblikovanja identiteta unutar tih supkultura. Kako bi se razumjele okolnosti koje su dovele do nastanka pojedinih supkulturnih pokreta, u radu će se definirati pojmovi kao što su kultura i njezino shvaćanje u razliĉitim segmentima društva te pojmovi identitet i ideologija. U radu će biti prikazana i društveno-povijesna pozadina koja je dovela do nastanka opozicijskih pokreta mladih ljudi spram mainstream-kulture, a time i njihovi ideali, vrijednosti i stavovi. Glavni dio rada usmjerit će se na prikaz supkulturnih pokreta kao što su punk, heavy metal, rastafarijanstvo i skinheads. Pojasnit će se na koji se naĉin unutar takvih pokreta oblikuju identiteti i što pojedine supkulture simboliziraju. Cilj je rada pojasniti kako su supkulture nastajale, koju vaţnost ima identitet unutar supkultura, kako su se mijenjale kroz godine od poĉetaka svojega nastajanja i na koji su se naĉin odrazile na kolektivno društvo i kulturu u narednim razdobljima.
Abstract (english)
The paper Subcultures and formation of identity (seventies and eighties of the 20th century) deals with the phenomenon of subcultures in the second half of the 20th century, as well as explaining the process of identity formation within those subcultures. In order to understand the circumstances that led to the development of individual subcultural movements, this paper will define terms such as culture and understanding of culture in different segments of society as well as terms of identity and ideology. This paper will also present socio-historical background that led to the development of oppositional movements of youth versus the mainstream culture, and with that, their ideals, values and views. Main part of this paper will be focusing on presentation of subcultural movements such as Punk, Heavy metal, Rastafarians and Skinheads. This paper will explain the formation of identity within such movements and what those subcultures symbolize. The main goal of this paper is to explain how subcultures were developing, what is the importance of identity within subcultures, how did they change during the years since their formation and in what ways did they impact collective society and the culture in the upcoming years.
