Abstract | U završnom radu Subjektivizacija osobnog imaginarnog prostora u tonskom crtežu kroz motive imaginarnih prostora i osobnih simbola oblikujem seriju koja se sastoji od pet tonskih crteža. Rad u sobi podsjeća me na inspirativan život i stvaralaštvo meksičke slikarice Fride Kahlo. Uz Fridu Kahlo inspirira me i stvaralaštvo hrvatskog umjetnika iz Osijeka Davora Vrankića. Oboje umjetnika u svom stvaralaštvu koriste brojne simbole poput životinja, ornamenata i draperije kroz koje možemo doživjeti susret s njihovom subjektivnom dimenzijom. |
Abstract (english) | In my final thesis, Subjectivization of Personal Imaginary Space in Tonal Drawing, I shape a series consisting of five tonal drawings through the motifs of imaginary spaces and personal symbols. The motifs in the drawings are personal symbols and imaginary spaces that emerged from reflections on childhood traumas. By immersing myself in new imaginary visual spaces, I process my own emotions towards liberation and confronting trauma. The recognizable motifs in the selected works are a girl, a butterfly, and flowers, while other motifs are more intuitive, such as swirling lines that form symbolic hints. The works feature atmospheric, bird's-eye, and geometric perspectives with dual viewpoints. I use pencil as a drawing technique, emphasizing surfaces and creating an illusion of height and depth through shading. During the creation of the works in my own room, I listened to audio recordings of natural sounds. Working in my room reminds me of the inspiring life and creativity of the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. Alongside Frida Kahlo, I am also inspired by the work of Croatian artist from Osijek, Davor Vrankić. Both artists use numerous symbols in their creations, such as animals, ornaments, and drapery, through which we can experience encounters with their subjective dimension. In this thesis, I explore how personal subjectivization manifests in visual expression. Summarizing various theories has opened new possibilities for defining my own visual creativity. A significant contribution to this work was made by my time spent in nature, where I spend every free moment. Observing nature, I perceive the landscape as the most direct visualization of my relationship to the world as a stage and the ultimate boundary of human existence. This relationship is highly inspiring to me as it provides the necessary breadth and freedom in exploring visual expression and the drawing process itself.
