Abstract
Kodály Zoltán (1882 – 1967) Mađarski je skladatelj, dirigent, etnomuzikolog i pedagog. Njegovo najvažnije životno djelo je posebna metoda relativne intonacije poznata kao Kodály-metoda. Kodály je revolucionizirao sustav glazbenog obrazovanja u Mađarskoj i svijetu služeći se principima vlastite glazbene pedagogije. Najvažnije značajke Kodály-metode su pjevanje narodnih pjesama te tonik-do metoda intonacije. Kodály je poznat i kao vrhunski skladatelj vokalne i vokalno-instrumentalne glazbe, a skladao je zborska i scenska djela, solo pjesme i didaktičke vokalne vježbe. Kodályevo vokalno stvaralaštvo specifično je po tome što su više-manje sva djela obrade ili prerade Mađarskih narodnih pjesama koje je Kodály etnografski sakupio tijekom cijelog života. Najznačajnije Kodályevo djelo je Psalmus Hungaricus, vokalno-instrumentalno djelo za mješoviti zbor, solo tenor i orkestar. Osim interpretativne analize djela Psalmus Hungaricus, u ovome radu analiziraju se još dvije kompozicije: Mátrai képek (Slikovnica Matre), djelo za mješoviti zbor a capella te Villő, djelo za četveroglasni dječji ili ženski zbor.
Abstract (english)
Zoltán Kodály (1882 – 1967) is a Hungarian composer, conductor, etnhnomusicologist and pedagogue. His most important life work is his music teaching methodology known as the Kodály-method - with it he managed to revolutionize the Hungarian music teaching system which has affected the quality of music education all over the world. Some of the attributes of his method are the practice of folk-song singing and using the relative-do method of intonation. Kodály is known as an excellent composer of vocal music. He wrote music for choirs with and without accompaniment, stage music and singing exercise pieces. His works are specific by the fact that almost all of them are based on Hungarian folk song arrangements which he has collected over the years. Kodály's most important musical composition is considered to be Psalmus Hungaricus, a vocal-instrumental piece written for mixed choir, tenor soloist and orchestra. Aside from the interpretative analysis of the already mentioned piece Psalmus Hungaricus, this thesis contains the analyses of two other vocal works; Mátrai képek (Matra pictures) is a piece for mixed choir a capella, and Villő is a four-part choral piece for female or children's choir.
