Criteria for choosing audio-video recordings for music teaching class is unexplored topic and it's not elaborated in the area of Croatian music pedagogy. Just as much neglected, this topic is important because it's connected with the music teaching class and the teaching areas which are called – listening to music, learning music theory and singing. All the mentioned teaching areas leave a big mark on perception of students about classical music and their attitude toward it. It plays an important role in building and creating a complete, culturally developed person with high quality traits in students. Therefore it's important to organize and elaborate those parts of music lessons as succesful as we can. In order to make the organization of those parts of music lessons as good as possible it's necessary to compile a list of criteria that music teachers will be able to use for evaluation and finding the best teaching materials and musical examples. Exactly these issues are being analyzed and elaborated in this paper. The chapters Uloga i važnost glazbenih primjera u nastavi glazbene kulture i umjetnosti and Kriteriji are explaining the issue of constructing music teaching class, the issue of organizing the part of listening to music, of learning the music theory and the part of singing and the question – how to find the best possible music examples for those teaching parts. So are explaining how to reach the final goal, result and outcome – creating a full and competent person with solid basis that will only be developed later on in all areas. The chapter Uloga i važnost glazbenih primjera u nastavi glazbene kulture i umjetnosti is divided into three teaching sections by describing them and the chapter Kriteriji is divided into smaller parts in the form of the list of criteria that will help music teachers understand what is important to know about music recording or musical performance and therefore how to find the best audio-video recording for the mentioned three music teaching sections.
