Abstract
Grĉka je jedna od kolijevki zapadne civilizacije i stoga nije nimalo lak zadatak reći ili prikazati nešto novo, dosad neviĊeno ili neĉuveno. Oduvijek sam bio oĉaran antiĉkim svijetom i mitovima koji ga okruţuju, s posebnim naglaskom na poznate ţenske ĉudovišne likove. U ovom ću diplomskom radu, sluţeći se tehnikom digitalne ilustracije u programima Clip Studio Paint EX i Krita, vlastitom interpretacijom kroz 12 radova prikazati njihova obiljeţja uz pripadajuće mitove koji, kroz povijest pa do današnjih dana, pruţaju temelje brojnim umjetniĉkim i filozofskim kontekstima.
Abstract (english)
Greece is one of the cradles of Western civilization and therefore it is not an easy task to say or show something new, previously unseen or unheard of. I have always been fascinated by the ancient world and the myths surrounding it, with a particular focus on iconic female monster characters. In this thesis, using the techniques of digital illustration in the Clip Studio Paint EX and Krita, I will present the features of these creatures in my own interpretation through 12 works, along with the associated myths which, throughout history and up to the present day, provide the basis for numerous artistic and philosophical contexts.
