Abstract
Društvene mreže potpuno su promijenile način na koji ljudi komuniciraju i promatraju svijet oko sebe. Od vizualne privlačnosti do korisničkog sučelja, dizajn ima ključnu ulogu u utjecaju na emocije, ponašanje i cjelokupno iskustvo korisnika unutar ovih digitalnih platformi. Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje zamršeni svijet dizajna društvenih mreža, promatrajući njihov povijesni razvoj, elemente dizajna koji privlače i zadržavaju korisnike, kao i korištenje tamnih obrazaca. Ovaj diplomski rad provedenim istraživanjem pruža uvid u utjecaj dizajna društvenih mreža na korisnike, fokusirajući se na potencijalni utjecaj elemenata dizajna, značajki koje izazivaju ovisnost i tamnih obrazaca na emocije korisnika, obrasce ponašanja i vrijeme provedeno na platformama. Formulirane su tri hipoteze koje su vodile istraživanje. Prva hipoteza ima za cilj utvrditi značaj elemenata dizajna u odnosu na povećanu upotrebu i vrijeme provedeno na društvenim mrežama. Druga hipoteza nastoji potvrditi utjecaj elemenata dizajna na emocije i ponašanje korisnika unutar okruženja društvenih mreža. Treća hipoteza ispituje uspješnu implementaciju tehnika manipulativnog dizajna, poznatih kao tamni obrasci.
Abstract (english)
Social networks have completely changed the way people communicate and observe the world around them. From visual appeal to user interface, design plays a key role in influencing emotions, behavior and overall user experience within these digital platforms. This thesis explores the intricate world of social network design, looking at its historical development, design elements that attract and retain users, and the use of dark patterns. Through research, this thesis provides insight into the impact of social network design on users, focusing on the potential impact of design elements, addictive features and dark patterns on users' emotions, behavior patterns, and time spent on platforms. Three hypotheses were formulated that guided the research. The first hypothesis aims to determine the significance of design elements in relation to increased use and time spent on social networks. The second hypothesis seeks to confirm the influence of design elements on the emotions and behavior of users within the social network environment. The third hypothesis examines the successful implementation of manipulative design techniques, known as dark patterns.
